Alexa can plant a tree for you in $1 now

Trees are no less than the very life source for our planet Earth. Heavy deforestation has caused severe damage to our planet, ecosystem, wildlife, and even the livelihood of many people.

We always take whatever we need from Nature but never think to give back anything to restore the balance.

plant a tree

Amazon has thought about it and has taken the initiative to plant trees all over the world through the One Tree Planted charity.

Now you can also help by donating $1 to plant a tree. You only have to ask Alexa to plant a tree for you and donate a tiny amount for it.

One Tree Planted was first founded in 2014, and since then this mission has helped plant more than 40 million trees across 42 countries.

What is more interesting is, that this foundation was more active during Corona Virus Pandemic and has planted around half of all trees in 2021 alone.

Why this initiative is incredible:

  • Amazon is going to donate $1 million alone to the One Tree Planted mission.
  • Tech giant is also roping common people through this initiative via Alexa.
  • You don’t even have to lift a finger to make a positive change in the world.
  • They are also going to restore the fire-damaged forests.

Anyone in the whole world can contribute to this mission. No matter where you are if you have access to Alexa, you can do it.

Just send a simple voice command to your Amazon Alexa by saying “Alexa, Grow a Tree” and plant a tree.

You will need an Amazon Pay account that will be used to donate the amount for the plantation.

You can also grow more than one tree and keep track of all your planted trees by the Amazon Pay account.

Where Your Donation Is Helping

The one tree planted mission is primarily focusing on Four different projects three in U.S. and one in India.

The first U.S. project aimed to restore 34 acres of forest in Pennsylvania. It is a surface mine land that cannot regenerate naturally since it was razed once for mining and agriculture.

The second project in California with the help of hard-working foresters to restore the Mendocino National Forest, which was hugely impacted by the 2018 forest fires.

Southern Resident Orcas, an endangered species of  Southern Resident killer whales are getting the third project. They have lived for millennia in a stretch, but it’s time to save that incredible species.

The fourth project is going to help Indian framers plant trees in Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, and Odisha.

Amazon is trying to tackle deforestation by planting one tree at a time. So, are you going to help?
